A duck floats calmly on the surface of a clear body of water teeming with a school of red fish. Sunlight filters through, casting a dappled pattern on the rocks beneath and highlighting the vibrant colors of the aquatic life.
I was hiking up the eagle falls trail with my friend Deidre Honnold and on the way back I suggested that we had to Taylor Creek which she had never visited in the fall. It was late afternoon and the fish were swarming below the footbridge. I took a number of photos from different angles but this one looking straight down has always been my favorite!
